Wedding videography is an investment!

Budgeting a wedding is for many, not all of us have the luxury of hiring an event coordinator who can help us make the best decisions when budgeting. I sure was one of them myself! Budgeting means cutting off services and leaving out things we don’t need.

Videography is not one of those, video is one of the most if no the most important service in a wedding. Why is that?

For starters film is a lot more complex than photography, sorry photographers but that’s the truth, it captures the most “real moment'“ of any memory. Would you rather see photos of your favorite movie or would you rather see the movie itself which include multiple shots of photography to illustrate a moving video along with audio, music, special effects and drone shots?

You know that saying “you get what you paid for”? Well, that saying became crystal clear to me the day of my wedding, which is another story for another day haha.

The only true investments you will be making the day of your wedding will be your photographer and videographer. After the wedding is over, video and photography are the only two services you will physically keep that will capture the entire memory of your wedding that will last you a life time.

I’m hoping on this new B&W flash photography trend and I believe it’s here to stay!

I love to stay on top of trends and I adopt the ones that best fit my personality and my clients. There’s something so special about B&W photography when it comes to shooting weddings. Could it be the white dress contrasting the grooms dark suite? or is it just everything?

I love documenting my clients “first drink together” in B&W flash photography because it serves it’s purpose. The shot captures this spontaneous act of flirty intimacy with a sparkle of elegancy. What do you think? Am I right or AM I RIGHT!?

Branding Tip

Today’s Monday!

Branding Tip:

  • When it comes to taking branding photos its important to capture candid smiles. A good way to obtain those smiles is by asking clients to “fake laugh”. Usually that alone makes people laugh because its such a funny thing to imagine doing. lol

If you’re a photographer what tricks do you have up your sleeve to make clients laugh?
